# ExitCodeMapping

## class nominal.core.ExitCodeMapping(exit_code, code, message, retryable=False)

Map a failed container’s exit code to a canonical extractor error.

Registered on a container image and used when the extractor does not emit a valid structured
error in `/dev/termination-log`. A valid structured termination error takes precedence.

### exit_code: int

Container process exit code this mapping applies to.

### code: str

Machine-readable error code chosen by the extractor author.

Do not use platform-owned codes listed in `RESERVED_EXTRACTOR_ERROR_CODES`.

### message: str

Human-readable fallback message for this error.

### retryable: bool = False

Whether the platform may retry the ingest for this failure.
