# get_spatial_from_run

## nominal.experimental.spatial.get_spatial_from_run(run, ref_name)

Retrieve a spatial from a run by its ref name.

Parameters:
:   - **run** ([*Run*](https://dev.nominal.io/python/ref/generated/nominal.core.Run.md#nominal.core.Run "nominal.core.run.Run"))

      Run to resolve the reference on.
    - **ref_name** ([*str*](https://docs.python.org/3/builtins/stdtypes.html#str "(in Python v3.15)"))

      Name of the run datasource reference to resolve.

Returns:
:   The spatial associated with the ref name.

Raises:
:   [**NominalNotFoundError**](https://dev.nominal.io/python/ref/generated/nominal.exceptions.NominalNotFoundError.md#nominal.exceptions.NominalNotFoundError "nominal.exceptions.NominalNotFoundError") – If no readable spatial has this ref name.
