# channel_to_dataframe_decimated

## nominal.thirdparty.pandas.channel_to_dataframe_decimated(channel, start, end, *, buckets=None, resolution=None, tags=None)

Retrieve the channel summary as a pandas.DataFrame, decimated to the given buckets or resolution.

Enter either the number of buckets or the resolution for the output.
Resolution in picoseconds for picosecond-granularity dataset, nanoseconds otherwise.

Only DOUBLE and INT channels are supported. Any other data type raises, either because the
type cannot back a compute series or because the decimated response is not numeric.

Raises:
: [**ValueError**](https://docs.python.org/3/builtins/exceptions.html#ValueError "(in Python v3.15)") – If both `buckets` and `resolution` are given, or if the channel’s data type
    is not DOUBLE or INT.

Return type:
: [*DataFrame*](https://pandas.pydata.org/docs/reference/api/pandas.DataFrame.html#pandas.DataFrame "(in pandas v3.1)")
